I'm Naked

I was deeply clad in the fears I had

My secrets meant for the grave

This overcoat was the antidote

For consequences of mistakes

I can't hide ‘cause God knows my feelings

And I find that's much more appealing

Now I'm naked

I've been stripped of my clothes

And I'm ashamed

But I'll make it

'Cause the real me's exposed

And I'm the same man I was before

It's a mystery how I came to be

A secretive person at all

Now several locks hide my secret box

From anyone scaling the wall

Thank you God the worst part is over

Just when I thought I'd never find closure

Now I'm naked

I've been stripped of my clothes

And I'm ashamed

But I'll make it

'Cause the real me's exposed

And I'm the same man I was before

Oh, oh, look at me

Oh, I'm as happy as can be

Because I'm naked yeah, yeah

I'm naked yeah, yeah

I'm naked yeah, yeah

I'm naked yeah, yeah

I heard a shriek as I tried to sneak

In through the back of the church

I would bet they're not ready yet

For someone whose history's besmirched

But they'll learn that I'm not going away

I’ve been burned, but today is a new day

'Cause I'm naked

I've been stripped of my clothes

And I'm ashamed

But I'll make it

'Cause the real me's exposed

And I'm the same man

Now I'm naked

I've been stripped of my clothes

And I'm ashamed

But I'll make it

'Cause the real me's exposed

And I'm the same man I was before
